Our commitment to better choices
As a food service caterer operating in the healthcare sector, we have a responsibility to support NHS England in its public health initiatives, and we have taken proactive steps to make our food healthier and more sustainable.
Redefining responsible menus
We have significantly reduced the sales of products high in fat, saturated fat, salt and sugar across our healthcare business while increasing the availability of nutritious alternatives. Working closely with our partner retail brands, we ensure every food service and vending offer meets the Government Buying Standards, and make every effort to exceed them.
Innovation on the plate
We are constantly developing new ways to bring health and flavour together. Our under-500kcal hot meal range offers delicious, balanced options that are low in fat, sugar and salt, and always include one of the five a day.

The Dignified Dining Toolkit
Created to help clients tailor nutritional care for people living with dementia, our Dignified Dining Toolkit offers practical tools and insights to enhance mealtimes. We’ve introduced blue plates that contrast with food to help with visual recognition, alongside easy-to-eat finger food options that encourage independence and dignity.
Listening to patients
We funded an independent study with The Patients Association, resulting in the Patients First report, a landmark piece of research into attitudes and experiences of patient dining. With 16 actionable recommendations integrated into a dedicated auditing tool, we use real insights to continuously improve mealtime experiences.
